About Mary

Hello!  My name is Mary K. Armstrong and my mission in life is to bring the secret crime of child sexual abuse into the open.  With this in mind, I have written a book, Confessions of a Trauma Therapist:  A Memoir of Healing and Transformation.

I have spent the last 30 years helping those suffering from the invisible wounds of childhood trauma to restore their self esteem and lead productive lives. My book tells the story of uncovering my own history of childhood abuse in my 40s.  I have written the book to help victims of childhood trauma, their helpers, their friends and anyone who wants to understand how we can forget something so terrible.

Confessions of a Trauma Therapist tells my childhood story of living in a fog while my life went on without me: how I healed through yoga, dream work, psychotherapy, and the love and support of my husband and our son, and how I eventually became a trauma therapist.

My book reaches out with guidelines for healing to all those who have suffered.  Confessions is a powerful teaching tool about the invisible wounds of child abuse.

My book will be released in April and will be available through Amazon.ca and chapters.indigo.com.
